I am livin’ in swimwear and dreaming of the days to come. Feeling good in my soul to the bottom of my toes. Ready to set goals and exceed expectations for my work and myself. My standards are always high and have never been higher.
I am getting ready to set out on another road trip living the life of a Digital Nomad working on the road. What I am learning now is patience.
Patience is a virtue, they say. Finding the ability to wait for something without getting angry or upset is a valuable quality in a person. I think we all face challenges where our patience gets tested and as we grow, we get stronger because of these experiences.
So what is a girl to do to find patience? Shop for swimwear online? Yes. That sounds like a great idea.

Finding patience with your body is also another lesson. Knowing your body and your limits is important to keep you healthy. Eating balanced healthy meals and maintaining your exercise plan along with making the right decisions during the week, can give you the results you are looking for with time and patience.
Do you have patience when trying to fall asleep? Often people are stuck to time and to schedules. This is the time I wake up, then I do this, than I have to be here by then. I take a break here. Then I leave there. Go to bed by this time. It is hard to find patience when we are controlled by these robotic schedules.
Finding a good routine to listen to your body and unwind your mind each night as the stars come out can be a life saver. Each one of us is different, so it might take some patience on finding the right routine for you. My grandma taught me best, take a warm bubble bath and then drink a glass of milk before bedtime. Then let go all the worries from there.
What about finding patience in love? haha. That just makes me laugh. This one is obviously on the top of my list to work on. I think of it as two ways – patience with loving others – and – patience with loving ourselves. Both are equally as important to live a balanced lifestyle.
What I learned from my swimwear distraction is that patience is the ability to accept and tolerate a delay without getting emotionally upset. To let go of control and to “keep on keeping on” is important when trying to find patience within yourself. Along with distracting yourself and your emotions with positive vibes into the future.
Love is patient.
“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Now, when I think of “patience” – I think love.
Love for myself. Love for others.
Time has no patience.
Neither do humans.
Find love
and you will find patience.
Or find distractions…
